We’re Hiring: Insurance Advisor (Sales Rep)

February 16, 2026

About Us

At Cordinsurance.com, we believe insurance should feel clear, personal, and relationship-driven. Our clients trust us to guide them through protecting their homes, their families, and their future. Because of that, we approach every conversation as advisors first — not transactional agents.

As our business continues to grow, we’re looking to bring on a group of Insurance Advisors (Sales Reps) who want to build a meaningful career in insurance while serving our community well.

This role is especially well suited for someone who has already spent time inside an insurance agency and understands how policies are quoted, structured, and serviced. Many of the people who thrive in this position started in administrative, account management, or support roles within an agency and are now ready to step into a more client-facing advisory role.

Our advisors guide clients through the insurance process from the initial quote all the way through policy binding. Most of our opportunities come through our website, local referral partners, and realtors we work closely with throughout San Diego. Your role is to review those opportunities, work alongside our quoting team to build coverage options, and walk clients through the proposal in a clear and confident way.

We believe insurance should never feel rushed or confusing to the client. Instead, our advisors take the time to educate homeowners on their options, explain coverages in plain language, and help them make the best long-term decision for their family.

Because of this, we are looking for people who are naturally relational, professional in their communication, and comfortable guiding conversations with clarity and confidence.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

This position is often a great fit for someone who has already worked inside an insurance agency and understands how the industry works behind the scenes.

Many of our strongest advisors come from backgrounds such as agency administrative assistants, account managers, CSRs, quoting specialists, or agency processors. If you’ve spent time reviewing policies, quoting carriers, or helping clients understand coverage options, you likely already have the foundation needed to succeed in this role.

We’re simply helping you take the next step — moving from supporting policies to advising clients directly.

Licensing & Requirements

Candidates should either hold a California Property & Casualty License or be willing to obtain one within 45 days of joining our team. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a relationship-driven mindset are essential.

We look for individuals who are self-motivated, comfortable taking ownership of their pipeline, and excited about building long-term relationships within the community.

Compensation & Growth

This role is primarily performance-based compensation and designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in insurance.

Many advisors in our industry build their book of business over time and create significant income growth as their client base expands. Advisors who consistently write around $1M in annual premium can build strong, stable income while continuing to grow with the firm.

This is a commission-only position with no cap on earnings

Based on our current lead flow, conversion rates, and proven sales process:

  • First-year earnings typically start around $59,000 for reps who follow the system consistently
  • Long-term earning potential exceeds $150,000+ as skills, referrals, and repeat business compound over time

Earnings are performance-based and depend on consistency, follow-through, and adherence to the sales process. This role is best suited for individuals who are self-motivated and comfortable with commission-based income.

Work Environment

We operate with a hybrid work structure. Most day-to-day work happens remotely, but our advisors regularly meet with realtors, attend open houses, visit referral partners, and participate in team training sessions.

We’re a family-run brokerage, and relationships are at the center of everything we do — both with our clients and within our team.

Our goal is to build a group of trusted advisors who care deeply about serving families well while building a meaningful career in insurance.

A Note for Insurance Professionals

If you’re currently working inside an insurance agency and feel like you understand the industry but haven’t had the opportunity to grow beyond a support role, this position may be a natural next step for you.

Many talented people in our industry begin their careers in administrative, service, or account management roles. Over time, they develop a deep understanding of how policies work, how carriers operate, and how to guide clients through complex coverage decisions.

What they often don’t get is the opportunity to step into a more client-facing advisory role.

At Cordinsurance.com, we value that foundation. In fact, some of the best advisors come from exactly that background. If you already understand quoting, coverage conversations, and the importance of protecting a client’s home properly, you likely have the core skills needed to succeed here.

Our role is to help you take that knowledge and apply it in a way that allows you to build deeper client relationships, grow professionally, and create long-term income through the clients you serve.

If you’re someone who enjoys educating clients, building trust, and helping families make confident decisions about their coverage, we’d love to hear from you.
